Routine check-ups, radiographs and the preventive care that catches problems early.
General dentistry is where every other treatment starts. A check-up looks at the teeth, the gums and the bite, and when needed a periapical radiograph shows what the eye cannot.
It also covers prevention: fluoride treatment and fissure sealing, which protect the tooth surfaces before decay appears. The earlier a problem is caught, the simpler and the cheaper it is to treat.

Imaging
If needed, a radiograph shows the areas between the teeth and around the roots.
